It’ll get a lot harder to park your car while you party on the Lower East Side, if the NYPD gets its way.
Police brass asked Community Board 3 to consider expanding restrictions in the area to help combat late-night horn-honking and gridlock.
The proposal would prohibit parking between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights in the area bounded by Broome and East Houston streets from Orchard to Essex.
“Most of the blocks already have this,” said Susan Stetzer, district manager of Community Board 3. “It’s just enlarging the area and making it consistent from block to block.”
The board is slated to vote later this week.
