The man suspected of murdering UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in cold blood on a New York City sidewalk was charged late Monday with weapons, forgery and other charges in Pennsylvania – just hours after being arrested at a McDonald’s following a five-day manhunt.

Luigi Mangione, 26, was ordered to be held without bail following his brief arraignment at the Blair County courthouse in Altoona.

Mangione, who didn’t enter a plea, confirmed to the judge that he understood the charges leveled against him.

The suspect was nabbed earlier Monday after he was spotted eating at the McDonald’s in Altoona by a customer and employee who recognized him from surveillance images being circulated by the NYPD in the wake of last week’s brazen shooting outside a Manhattan hotel, authorities said.

He was found with a 3D-printed “ghost gun” and silencer stashed in his backpack, as well as writings suggesting anger with corporate America, according to the charging documents.

In court, prosecutors said Mangione was also busted carrying a passport and $10,000 in cash — $2,000 of it in foreign currency – at the time of his arrest.

Mangione, however, disputed the amount during the hearing.

The Maryland native also had multiple fraudulent identifications, including a fake New Jersey ID that matched the one used by the gunman to check into an Upper West Side hostel just days before the shooting, authorities said.

The officers who responded to the 911 call early Monday said they recognized the suspect immediately after they approached him inside the fast food restaurant and asked him to pull down the blue medical mask he was wearing.

“We just didn’t think twice about it. We knew that was our guy,” Altoona Police Officer Tyler Frye, a rookie just six months into the job, told a news conference.

When an officer asked if Mangione had been to New York recently, the suspect “became quiet and started to shake,” according to the charging docs.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro said he expected Mangione to face charges in New York soon. Investigators are still piecing together a possible motive but sources said the slaying is believed to be tied to the behemoth US healthcare industry’s treatment of a sick relative.
