A writer who corresponded extensively with suspected CEO shooter Luigi Mangione described him as “one of the nicest people,” despite the cold-blooded execution-style murder he is accused of committing last week.

Gurwinder Bhogal, a Substack writer based in the UK, had a two-hour long video call and exchanged twenty emails with computer programmer Mangione, 26, this spring, before he mysteriously went off grid for six months.

“Most importantly, Brian was a devoted father to our two sons, and we will miss him for the rest of our lives. We appreciate the overwhelming outpouring of kind words and support we have received.”

Luigi Mangione laid out twisted CEO murder plan in notebook recovered by police: report

By ecranenyp

Accused CEO killer Luigi Mangione allegedly laid out his murder plot in a handwritten notebook -- complete with a "to-do list" of tasks needed to carry out the slaying, according to a report.

Investigators are currently looking at a page of notes the 26-year-old allegedly scrawled in a spiral notebook before he allegedly gunned down UnitedHealthcare’s CEO Brian Thompson last week, a source told CNN.

In one note, Mangione allegedly weighed what could be better than "to kill the CEO at his own bean counting conference.”

He allegedly acknowledged, too, that a shooting would be more targeted -- noting that a bomb "could kill innocents," the source said.

Mangione is accused of fatally shooting Thompson as the 50-year-old CEO walked to a Manhattan hotel where UnitedHealthcare’s parent company, UnitedHealth Group, was holding its annual investor conference.

Luigi Mangione's lawyer speaks out on suspected UnitedHealthcare CEO shooter's outburst

By Emily Crane

Luigi Mangione's lawyer says he hopes the accused CEO killer's outburst outside a Pennsylvania court will be his last.

“Hopefully, there won’t be any more of that,” his attorney, Thomas Dickey, told reporters after the 26-year-old's hearing at the Blair County Courthouse.

As cops escorted him into the court earlier Tuesday, the alleged gunman had shouted: “It’s completely out of touch and an insult to the intelligence of the American people and the lived experience!”

Asked about Mangione's emotional state, his lawyers said anyone in his position would display a range of feelings.

“If you put yourself in, if you or a loved one were in that position — it’s a natural, I think, thing to go through many emotional states,” Dickey said.

“As far as him not talking, I’m going to be his lawyer, I’m going to do the talking."

Callous tourists have been visiting the Midtown site where UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson was murdered — with some snapping photos and others shamelessly attempting to justify the cold-blooded slaying.

At least nine people — one from as far as Texas — stopped at the north entrance of the Hilton hotel on Sixth Avenue in the fog and rain on Tuesday, where Thompson, 50, was gunned down from behind in a targeted killing last Wednesday.

The morbid gawkers who flocked to the murder site varied in their motivations — some merely curious and others unabashedly craven in their delight, insisting that the murderer did a “good thing.”

By Jack Morphet and Kate Sheehy

TOWSON, Md. — Luigi Mangione’s family is “beloved’’ Baltimore royalty, fueled by a real-estate empire and history of contributing millions of dollars to healthcare — the very industry that allegedly drove him to murder.

Luigi’s late grandfather, family patriarch Nick Mangione Sr., liked to talk about being the product of a classic immigrant success story.

“I didn’t have two nickels to rub together when my father died when I was 11, yet I still became a millionaire,” Nick once told the Baltimore Sun of his Italian immigrant dad and his own hard-scrabble upbringing.

Who gets the $60K reward in search for UnitedHealthcare CEO's killer?

By Emily Crane

The NYPD and FBI offered up a joint $60,000 reward during the manhunt for UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's killer -- but it wasn't immediately clear who, if anyone, would get the cash now an arrest has been made.

Luigi Mangione, 26, was captured in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on Monday after a McDonald's employee spotted him eating at the fast food restaurant and called 911.

According to FBI rules, a tipster can't nominate themselves to collect the reward -- meaning the employee would have to be put forward by an investigating agency.

They would then have to cut through a bunch of red tape in order to make a claim.

The rewards, too, are often only paid out if the arrest leads to a conviction.

The lawyer added Mangione pleaded not guilty to the charges he faces in Pennsylvania.

“I’m telling you as his lawyer, he didn’t have any … representation until I got involved this afternoon. And I’m telling you he’s pleading not guilty,” the lawyer said.

By Jack Morphet and Emily Crane

Luigi Mangione's hobby while studying at the University of Pennsylvania was 3D printing, his former pal told The Post.

"It's funny, I recall him being into 3D printing in sophomore year," said Matthew Levy, who lived next door to Mangione's dorm room in their freshman year.

"I mean, he was making much more innocent things then."

Cops have said Mangione allegedly used what appeared to be a 3D-printed ghost gun in UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson's slaying in New York City last week.
