The knife-wielding maniac who was killed by cops in a frantic standoff inside a New Jersey home slaughtered his own mother and grandparents before police arrived Monday night, officials revealed Tuesday.
Jordan Barnes, 29, was shot dead when police responded to the Piscataway home after a relative reported he was allegedly threatening to harm family members inside the River Road residence, according to the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office.
When police arrived, they attempted to speak with Barnes through a closed front door, but through a sidelight spotted two individuals lying unresponsive inside on the floor, officials said.

Officials said Barnes ignored repeated commands to drop his weapon or get on the ground and was tased by three cops, but continued advancing toward the officers before being fatally shot at the scene.
The AG’s Office of Public Integrity and Accountability, which investigated the officer-involved shooting, said Piscataway Police Officer John Ward fired the fatal shot.
“I was pretty much about to start making dinner, and then I just heard the cops come next door,” startled neighbor Jessica Conroy told ABC 7 Eyewitness News of the deadly commotion.
“I looked outside the window, and they had their weapons drawn, and then we heard the shots go off.”

The victims were identified as Jeanmarie Barnes, 60, Richard A. Barnes, 86, and 84-year-old Brenda F. Barnes.
Neighbors described the family as friendly and said they had only positive encounters with them, with one noting the female victims were “very nice,” the outlet reported.
Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler said the assailant’s father was the one who called 911.

“So out of respect to the household, for the rest of the family members, but they were all related. I just want to let the general public know this is not someone coming in, knocking on the door, this is all folks that all knew each other and were related to each other blood-wise.”
The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the deadly incident.
