It’s still hard to collect money from Bernie Madoff — unless you’re a lawyer.

The court-appointed trustee and his associates seeking restitution for Madoff’s cheated customers were paid $318.4 million, according to a new bankruptcy filing.

That is more than the amount currently available to people who actually lost money in Madoff’s massive Ponzi scheme.

Trustee Irving Picard said he has reached agreements to recover more than $7.6 billion, but various lawsuits have tied up almost all of those funds — leaving only $272 million.

The $318.4 million price tag — paid for by a member-funded nonprofit — includes $148.9 million for Picard’s law firm and another $152.5 million for consultants.

Madoff, 73, is serving a 150-year sentence in a North Carolina federal prison for his $65 billion fraud.
