The Assemblywoman challenging Mayor Bill de Blasio for his City Hall spot jabbed Hizzoner over his abrupt Germany trip with a Photoshopped tweet that shows him with beers and bratwurst.
“While #NYC ‘s subways crumble, sex crimes increase double digits, litter on streets pile up & the number of street homeless soars… #G20,” presumptive GOP nominee Nicole Malliotakis tweeted on Thursday night.
Malliotakis said the comical image — which included de Blasio in traditional German garb — was meant to bring attention to the city’s pressing issues.
“The photo is funny but the issue is serious. Our mayor is neglecting his basic responsibility of managing the city,” the Staten Island/Brooklyn assemblywoman told The Post.
“He has no business being in Germany protesting. He should be here doing the job he was elected to do.”
De Blasio skipped an afternoon swearing-in ceremony for new NYPD recruits ahead of his flight overseas.
City Hall said the mayor “will attend several events surrounding the G20 Summit, including Saturday’s Hamburg Zeigt Haltung rally.”
