A 38-year-old man was shot dead during a robbery in his own home early Thursday, cops said. 

The victim was blasted in the shoulder around 1:30 a.m., after two men came into the home on Hinton Street near Woodrow Road in Arden Heights, police said. 

He was rushed to Staten Island University South Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

The duo — both wearing masks — snatched a chain off the man’s neck during the deadly home invasion, cops said. 

They ran off and were still on the loose later in the morning. 

It was not immediately clear whether the victim knew the intruders. 

His name was not released, pending family notification.
