An elderly man shot his 71-year-old wife to death yesterday in the kitchen of their Brooklyn home, authorities said.

Angelo Devito, 75, allegedly shot his wife, Angela, twice in the chest with a .22-caliber handgun at around 1:50 p.m. at their home on Neptune Avenue in Seagate.

He then ran outside and allegedly announced, “I just shot my wife!”

Shocked neighbors contacted police, who found the elderly woman dead on the kitchen floor.

Devito’s gun was found inside the house in a bag, sources said.

Cops were quizzing Devito last night, but had not filed any charges.

It’s a mystery why Devito would have shot his spouse, who was preparing a meal.

Police have no record of domestic-violence reports from the home.
