HACKENSACK, NJ — A South Carolina man accused of using a stun gun on other fans during a fight at a New York Jets game last year has returned to New Jersey for a court appearance.

Leroy McKelvey and his attorneys were in state court in Hackensack Monday for a status conference and were given a March 26 date to return.

McKelvey, of Moncks Corner, SC, has pleaded not guilty and remains free on bail.

The 60-year-old McKelvey is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon.

McKelvey was arrested at MetLife Stadium on Sept. 11.

Security had been beefed up for the game because it was the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
