Police on Tuesday took a man into custody for the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend — a 23-year-old woman who was blasted in the head at Brooklyn Bridge Park the night before, cop sources said.
Officers picked up Lamont Wright around 4 p.m. at his Brooklyn residence in connection with the slaying of Michelle Marks — who used to date Wright, sources said.
Marks was gunned down Monday night just after she left her cashier job at a pizzeria inside the waterfront park.
She was on the phone with her current boyfriend, Sam Hall, when she took a fatal bullet to the head on the edge of the park.
“I was on the phone with her during the last minutes. I heard somebody speak to her in the background. She said, ‘I don’t want to talk,’” said Hall, who added that Marks also told him “He has a gun!” moments before she was shot.
Wright has not yet been charged for the homicide.
