Police released photographs of the man they believe killed his former roommate inside a Kips Bay halfway house.

A security guard at Friend’s House in Rosehill discovered Ybarra Moses’ lifeless body around 1:45 a.m Saturday after rushing to the room to check on commotion coming from inside, police said.

Moses, 54, had just been visited by his former roommate, Ashraf Ahmed, when police said other residents and security heard loud noise inside the apartment on East 25th Street near Lexington Avenue, which the men had previously shared.

When security barged in, they saw Moses unconscious and covered in blood — and Ahmed standing nearby. Shards of glass were also discovered at the scene, police said.

Ahmed then rushed out of the room and fled from the building.

Moses suffered stab wounds to the face and blunt force trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police, who are still searching for Ahmed, describe him as approximately 5-foot-5 tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a button down shirt and dark pants.
