The vagrant accused of fatally bludgeoning four homeless men and seriously injuring a fifth has been indicted in connection with the Chinatown rampage, prosecutors announced Friday in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Randy Santos, 24, didn’t appear for the brief hearing, and the indictment against him remains sealed until his next court date, on Oct. 28, before Justice Laura Ward.

The indictment was handed down Thursday, Assistant DA Alfred Peterson said.

On Oct. 5, Santos randomly beat five men with a metal pipe, prosecutors contend.

He was arrested shortly after the senseless predawn attacks and charged with four counts of second-degree murder, one count of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

He has a long and violent rap sheet and a history of mental illness. His defense lawyer, Arnold Levine, declined to comment.
