A man climbed over a locked gate and destroyed a Buddhist statue, police said Saturday.

The suspect hopped onto the grounds of Sung Tak Buddhist Association on Pine Street in Chinatown on May 18 around 7:40 p.m., police said.

He then used an unknown object to smash a statue of Buddha before fleeing towards East Broadway.

Cops provided a video of the man, who is approximately in his 20s and was last seen wearing white pants and a black shirt.
