A New Jersey man accused of stealing GoFundMe money intended to help a homeless vet says that answers will be brought to light in the bizarre case.

Mark D’Amico — who is now under criminal investigation along with his girlfriend, Kate McClure — told a reporter that everything would become “crystal clear” in the case that has garnered national attention.

D’Amico made the comments as he appeared in a New Jersey court Tuesday on unrelated traffic charges, according to the Associated Press.

His lawyer, Ernest Badway, declined to provide further comment on the matter.

Earlier this month, Badway said in a Burlington County court filing that D’Amico and McClure will “likely be indicted” for the alleged misuse of the $400,000 donated to veteran Johnny Bobbit last year.

“Since it is expected that one or both of the Defendants will likely be indicted, my firm and I will no longer be able to continue our representation of them in this matter,” Badway wrote in the motion for a stay in Bobbit’s civil case against the pair.

The motion was granted and the case will pick back up in December.

The couple and Bobbit made headlines last year when McClure’s car ran out of gas on the side of a road in Philadelphia and Bobbit gave her his last $20 to fuel up.

McClure and D’Amico were so touched by the gesture that they created a GoFundMe page for the struggling addict, raising $400,000.

The story took a dark turn when Bobbit claimed he only received a fraction of the money.

Bobbit’s lawyers have told The Post that the pair blew the cash on lavish shopping sprees.

No criminal charges have been filed.
