A Queens man strangled his girlfriend after she broke up with him while they were on a Bahamas cruise, officials alleged Wednesday.

The ship was returning to New York on Sept. 7 when Carlos Batista Jr.’s girlfriend of a year told him she wanted to end things, according to a complaint filed in Manhattan federal court.

The Elmhurst man allegedly covered her mouth while she screamed, then throttled her until she passed out.

But other passengers heard the screams and reported the incident.

Batista, 22, was indicted on one count of assault Tuesday. He faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

His lawyer did not return a request for comment.
