A gunman busted into an apartment in Newark and killed two people Saturday night, police said.

A man and woman were shot dead during the home invasion at an apartment at Lehigh Avenue and Clinton Place at around 9 p.m., WABC/Channel 7 reported.

Police taped off several blocks around the complex late Saturday as the investigation continued.

They were hunting for the killer early Sunday.
