A 27-year-old man was arrested after he shot his mother in Brooklyn, leaving her clinging to life, cops said Saturday.

Daniel Joseph-Patrice blasted his 56-year-old mom multiple times in her chest, left side and left arm in their home on East 82nd Street near Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie on Friday around 8:10 p.m., police said.

The woman was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital in critical condition.

Joseph-Patrice was arrested and charged with attempted murder, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of an ammunition feeding device, cops said.

Police recovered a 9-mm Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol at the scene, cops said.

Authorities did not know Saturday afternoon what prompted the shooting.
