Cops arrested a man for pointing a laser at an NYPD helicopter on Wednesday morning, police said.

Joseph Purdon, 52, pointed the red laser at the cop chopper as it flew over Edgewater Park in the Bronx around 3 a.m., nearly blinding its pilot and co-pilot, according to police.

He was charged with assault on a police officer, menacing a police officer, reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of a weapon, disorderly conduct and a violation of local law, cops said.
