A petite pervert followed a 24-year-old woman into her Lower East Side building and tried to rape her Saturday afternoon, cops said.

The man, whom the woman did not know, walked into the elevator behind her at 3:20 p.m. and groped her as the door opened on her floor in a building at Stanton and Pitt streets.

He then pushed her against a hallway wall and fondled her, but fled when she screamed and a man inside her apartment opened his door.

Cops described the deviant as Hispanic, between 16 and 20 years old, between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-4 and weighing 130 pounds.
