A man was arrested in New Jersey Friday for bludgeoning his dad to death with a baseball bat on Father’s Day.

Michael Marchalk, 37, allegedly robbed his 60-year-old father Gary Marchalk before beating him to death in his Barnesville, Penn. home on Sunday, according to police.

The son — who was supposed to enter a rehab program on Monday — fled the location and his father’s corpse was found the next day.

Marchalk was spotted by Atlantic City police on a Jersey Shore boardwalk and was taken into custody.

He was awaiting arraignment Friday evening.
