A man was beaten to death on a street corner — about 50 feet from a police precinct — in Long Island City early Friday, police said.

The victim, whose name is being withheld pending family notification, was hanging out with friends on the corner of 50th and Vernon Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. when an argument began, cops said.

Two or three men attacked the 32-year-old victim and fled, leaving him unconscious on the sidewalk, according to police.

The man was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives were on the scene, interviewing witnesses and searching for video to cull information for suspect descriptions, sources said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the deadly dispute.

The fatal beatdown was delivered less than half a block from the 108th Precinct.
