A man was busted for shoving a woman into her Bronx apartment and attempting to rape her earlier this month, cops said.
Christopher Thompson, 24, allegedly followed the 24-year-old victim into her Elliott Place apartment around 9:40 a.m. August 14, authorities said.
Then he pushed her against a wall, tried to cover her mouth and pull down her pants, police said.
The victim screamed, alerting a family member who confronted the attacker, cops said.
Thompson bolted from the scene — but was arrested over a week later, on Friday around 10:40 p.m., cops said.
Thompson, of Mount Vernon, was charged with attempted rape, authorities said.
The woman, who had a slight cut on her face, refused medical attention.
