It’s a hefty price for a bottle of booze.
A portly man bound for a flight from JFK Airport to Puerto Rico was arrested Tuesday after he swiped a bottle of Scotch from an airport bar and stashed it in the bathroom, authorities said.
Luis Olmo, who is 5-foot-6 — and 320 pounds — snatched a bottle of Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky from a bar at JFK and strolled off with the booze at around 5:30 p.m. ahead of his flight on JetBlue, according to the Port Authority Police Department.
Witnesses spotted the 31-year-old man walk into a restroom and put the stolen bottle in a garbage can, police said.
When a witness questioned him about the bottle, Olmo allegedly threatened to hurt the man.
Port Authority officers recovered the booze and nabbed Olmo, a resident of Long Island City.
Olmo, who has a prior arrest on his record for harassment, was charged with larceny, possession of stolen property and harassment.
