A crazed man wielding a pick-ax was arrested after he vandalized several parked cars in Co-Op City this morning.

The unidentified, armed madman was walking along Erskine Place at about 8 a.m. today when he smashed several cars with the ax, said sources.

Cops were able to tackle and disarm the man without incident.

Charges are pending and the man may be hospitalized for psychiatric evaluation, sources said.
