A man was caught in the act as he flung eggs at the entrance to Trump Tower early Thursday, police sources said. 

The 51-year-old man approached the glass door of the luxury Midtown building on Fifth Avenue near East 56th Street around 8:30 a.m. and walloped it with eggs, according to the sources.

Members of the NYPD’s Critical Response Command were on scene and took the vandal into custody, the sources said. 

He was slapped with a summons for disorderly conduct, the sources said. 

His name and his motive were not immediately known.
