One man was killed and two others were injured early Thursday when a driver struck them as they were changing a flat tire on the shoulder of a busy Bronx highway, authorities said.

The 52-year-old driver was traveling north on I-95 when he plowed into the men as they were working on the left shoulder of the highway near Bartow Avenue in Baychester around 2 a.m.

Bronx Resident Artimis Jones, 29, was killed while two other were rushed to Jacobi Medical Center with non-life- threatening injuries, officials said.

The driver remained at the scene and has not been charged. The incident is still under investigation, police said.
