A man was arrested Monday and charged with assault for allegedly punching an NYPD cop in the face at a Manhattan drug store when she asked him to leave, authorities said.

Amil Foray, 25, is accused of pummeling the cop on Dec. 10 at Duane Reade on East 34th Street in Murray Hill while the female officer was working a paid security gig at the store, according to police and sources.

The violence erupted after the store manager recognized the man from an earlier alleged shoplifting incident at the store and requested the officer’s help.

Nothing was believed to have been stolen from the store, sources said, and Foray was not charged over the suspected theft.

A short clip capturing part of the episode that was obtained by The Post shows the man pushing the officer out of the way and trying to run off after a brief conversation between the two.

The suspect then cocks back and hits the cop in the side of the face, knocking her to the ground, after she tried to grab him, the video shows.
