HACKENSACK, N.J. — A man in a New Jersey city who was hit by a truck crossing the street has been issued a summons for jaywalking.
The 57-year-old man was hit by a pick-up truck Tuesday evening in Hackensack. The Record reports police say he was not in a crosswalk when he was hit.
The man was taken to a local medical center. Police say his last address and current condition were not known.
Police say the pedestrian was issued a summons for jaywalking and the driver, a New Milford man, was not charged with any offense. Police say the driver was not injured.
