A Westchester County jury has found that a driver who was drunk was guilty of killing a retired auto worker and injuring his family in a head-on collision.

George Kiaha was convicted Thursday of vehicular manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in the September 2009 death of 55-year-old Ralph Wood of Peekskill.

Prosecutors said Kiaha had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent when he crossed the double yellow line and crashed into Wood’s car in Cortlandt. The legal alcohol level is 0.08 percent.

Wood’s three grandchildren, his daughter and her fiance were injured.

The family was headed to dinner in Dutchess County.

The judge set sentencing for Feb. 22. Kiaha faces up to seven years in prison.
