An East Village man remained in critical condition Saturday, a day after falling off a building while trying to retrieve his malfunctioning drone.

Cris Piedrahita, 55, was flying his expensive quad-copter drone from the top of his building on East 12th Street just before 5 p.m. Friday when it lost power and got stranded on a roof next door, according to police reports.

Piedrahita tried to rappel down an improvised rope made of curtains but the cloth tore and he fell three stories.
