A hit-and-run driver left a man critically injured after plowing his SUV into him near Union Square early Tuesday, police said.

The 34-year-old victim was crossing the street near West 14th Street and Union Square East when he was struck by the dark SUV around 1 a.m.

He suffered head and body trauma and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, officials said.

Police are still looking for the driver, whose SUV was seen taking off down Union Square East.
