A straphanger died Wednesday when he fell onto the subway tracks in Manhattan and was hit by an oncoming train, police said.

The unidentified man’s death on the A/B/C/D Line at West 155th Street appears to be accidental, according to authorities.

Police are investigating the incident, which occurred at about 4:45 p.m. police said.
