A man died early this morning after jumping off the Manhattan Bridge, police said.

Police responded to the call of a person jumping off the bridge at around 11 p.m. last night. About an hour later, NYPD Harbor Patrol pulled the man from the East River near the Brooklyn side.

He was taken to Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn where he was pronounced dead.
