A man drowned Saturday while swimming at a Southampton, LI, beach, police said.

The man, identified as Timothy Allen Osborne, 46, of Singapore, and a woman ventured into the water, even though no lifeguards were on duty, shortly after noon at Coopers Beach.

Soon they both started struggling. The woman made it back, but Osborne could not and was pulled out by beachgoers.

Cops quickly arrived, administered first aid and rushed him to a hospital, where he died.
