A man was fatally shot in front of his girlfriend during a drive-by in Brooklyn early Monday, authorities said.

Elijah Benjamin, 22, was walking to the store with his girlfriend when a red vehicle approached them near Avenue I and East 34th Street in Midwood around 1 a.m.

A gunman opened fire from inside the vehicle and one of the bullets struck Benjamin in the chest.

Rescuers found the man unconscious on the sidewalk and rushed him to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
