A man was fatally shot outside a housing development in Brooklyn early Saturday, police said.

The unidentified man, 34, was found lying on the ground in front of the Lafayette Garden Houses in Clinton Hill at about 3:45 a.m., authorities said.

The wounded man — who had been shot multiple times in the torso — was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim is believed to have a criminal record, according to police sources.

The gunman fled the scene, and it was not immediately known what prompted the shooting, cops said.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending family notification.
