Dramatic new video captures the moment a man was shot dead while helping his apparently drugged-up friend in the Bronx.
Jason Rivera, 35, got out of his car in Parkchester around 11:40 p.m. Friday to assist a 43-year-old man who was sitting on a bench near a playground — allegedly high on drugs, cops said.
“You good? OK?” Rivera can be heard asking the man in the clip released by police Sunday.
Meanwhile, another man got out of a black Mercedes-Benz SUV and briefly walked past Rivera on Taylor Avenue near Guerlain Street — but then quickly doubled back, squeezing off multiple rounds from a handgun.
A startling gunshot can be heard in the video, and the muzzle flash is visible in the clip.

The unidentified man got out of a black Mercedes-Benz SUV and fired off multiple rounds from a handgun. DCPIThe suspect is between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, tan pants, white-and-black sneakers and a baseball cap.
The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male wanted in the murder of Jason Rivera. DCPIIt was unclear whether he was known to Rivera, or to the man he was helping.
The suspect was still at large Monday.
