A 29-year-old man was found dead on the subway tracks in The Bronx early Sunday, and it wasn’t clear if he was struck by a train, officials said.
The man, whose identity wasn’t released, was lying on the rails at about 7:30 a.m. when he was discovered by the operator of a northbound No. 4 train at Jerome Avenue and East Mosholu Parkway, officials said.
It wasn’t clear how the man died or if he was struck by a prior train, officials said. His identity wasn’t immediately released. Train service on a portion of the line was temporarily suspended.
