A man opened fire on Bronx cops who stopped him for acting suspiciously early Saturday and was quickly arrested, law enforcement sources said.

Darnell Shaqual, 19, allegedly started shooting near Zerega and Tratman avenues — and cops returned fire.

Nobody was struck in the exchange, cops said.

“I was standing outside with my friend and some kid ran down the street,” a witness said. “I heard the cops saying ‘Drop it! Drop it!’ I ducked behind a car.”
