The Fire Department rescued a man who plunged into the bone-chilling waters off Brooklyn last night.

The man, in his 40s, jumped off the 69th Street Pier in Bay Ridge into the Verrazano Narrows waterway near the Verrazano Bridge at around 10 p.m., witnesses said.

He floated south about 200 feet in 10 minutes when he was rescued.

He was conscious and breathing when the FDNY fished him out, authorities said.

The man was rushed to Lutheran Hospital.
