A man was found fatally beaten with a mouth full of dirt in Queens and police are looking at his ex’s boyfriend in connection with the death.

The 48-year-old victim was discovered lying face down on the ground at 18th Street near 20th Avenue in Astoria just before 1 a.m. Thursday. He had cuts and bruises on his face and dirt in his mouth, cops said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was last seen with his ex’s new beau, whom cops are trying to locate for questioning.

It is unclear what motivated the attack, officials said.

The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
