A 20-year-old man died in Midtown on Friday morning after he jumped onto sidewalk scaffolding outside 64 E. 34th St., sources said.

A contractor who declined to give his name said the young man did not live in the building and was holding a camera, suggesting that the death may have been an accident.

The man was found on top of the scaffolding and pronounced dead by EMS shortly before 10 a.m., officials said.

The NYPD is investigating.
