A 53-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside a minivan in Staten Island, cops said Thursday.
Cops were responding to a 911 call for a wellness check around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday when they found Michael Ryner slumped over with stab wounds to the shoulder and back in the driver’s seat of a black Dodge Caravan on Bay Street near St. Julian Place in Tompkinsville, in front of an MTA Transit Police building, authorities said.
Ryner — who lived about a mile from the scene — was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
He did not appear to have any connection to the MTA building, cops said.
No one had been arrested in connection with the slaying by Thursday morning, and the motive was unclear.
