A straphanger was attacked at a Tribeca subway station on Sunday night by two men shouting anti-gay statements, cops said.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. on a northbound A Train at Chambers Street, according to police.
The victim, described as a 25-year-old male, was set upon following a verbal dispute with the two suspects.
The pair pummeled the young man and left him with a laceration to his head, which required stitches. They then fled the scene on foot. Cops were still looking for them early Monday morning.
