A 51-year-old committed suicide by jumping in front of a subway in downtown Manhattan on Wednesday, cops said.

The man, whose name was not released, was hit by the northbound D train at 2:50 p.m. at the Grand Street station, according to police.

EMS could not save the man, and he died shortly after, cops said.

Video from the scene shows straphangers being herded up the stairs at the station.
