A 54-year-old man leapt to his death this morning from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, authorities said.
The man jumped from the upper level, on the Staten Island side of the span, at about 8:20 a.m. and landed in the waters below, said an MTA spokesman.
An NYPD Harbor Unit pulled him from the water and he was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:25 a.m., cops said.
His identity is being withheld pending family notification, cops added.
