A middle-aged man died after coming into contact with the third rail near a Queens subway station early Sunday morning, police said.
The 49-year-old victim’s lifeless body was discovered by a subway operator as it lay on fire along the northbound tracks about 500 feet from the the Mets Willets Point station in Corona, police said.
The victim died at the scene. No criminality is suspected.
