A man was fatally struck by a train in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, officials said.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, was attempting to jump onto the tracks in an apparent suicide attempt when he was struck just before 10 a.m. inside the 8th Avenue station on 62nd Street in Sunset Park, officials said.
The northbound N train hit the man’s head as he was leaping, according to a preliminary finding.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Northbound N trains are bypassing Eighth Avenue while police investigate, the MTA said.
