A man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Manhattan early Sunday, police said.

The 33-year-old was crossing Fifth Avenue mid-block between East 15th and 16th streets when a white 2-door BMW sedan plowed into him around 3:15 a.m. before speeding away.

The unidentified victim suffered severe head trauma and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
