A man stabbed his girlfriend to death and told police he disposed of her body by loading it into a shopping cart and throwing it in a dumpster, sources said.
Juana AlvarezMiguel Bonilla, 44, has been charged with killing girlfriend Juana Alvarez, 52, inside their Grand Concourse apartment.
Police had been looking for Alvarez since last month when she was reported missing by her caseworker.
But when they heard Bonilla confessed to the slaying to a friend, cops got a search warrant on Monday and paid a visit to their apartment.
No one was home, but cops found blood inside the apartment as well as surveillance video that showed Bonilla pushing a shopping cart down the street with what appeared to be a body inside.
Meanwhile Bonilla was captured when cops stopped him for jumping a turnstile at Penn Station and realized he was wanted for the murder.
He confessed to the killing and told police he threw the woman in a dumpster but police have not located the body.
He was charged with murder, manslaughter and possession of a weapon.
